Briefed as a quasi-futuristic, court of dating justice. The tightly budgeted film set needed to have a large foot print and be prepped and struck in a short period of time.
For this reason I picked a location with excellent bones, where we could contrast materials and period of the set build elements, against the location structure. Using a mix of materials and textures we were able to stretch the usage of the budget much further, than if we had stuck to the traditional all hard wood construction.
